Tea in the Gallery

A slow, intimate experience in tea-tasting and art-viewing.

Tea in the Gallery is a quarterly gathering designed around art, tea, and meaningful conversation. With each new exhibition, guests are invited into the gallery for a small group experience where they will taste intentional tea blends, spend time with the artwork, and create a loose leaf tea blend to take home.

This experience is for those who desire to…

  • Try loose leaf tea blending

  • Experience art in a more personal way

  • Meet thoughtful, creative people

  • Enjoy a small group experience

  • Take home a simple ritual you made yourself

  • Slow down and reconnect with beauty

Sip slowly. Look closely.

Tea in the Gallery invites guests to experience the current exhibition in a more personal and intentional way. Rather than simply walking through the gallery, guests are seated together for a guided tea blending and tasting experience, then guided through viewing and dialoguing about the work around them.

Each guest will prepare and taste three different tea blends, each created around a different mood, intention, or work of art. Between tastings, prompt cards will invite guests to look at the artwork, notice what they feel, and enter into conversation with others at the table.

At the end of the experience, each guest will have the opportunity to choose their favorite blend, fill a small jar with loose tea, and take it home with sachets for steeping.

How It Works

1. Arrive and settle in
Guests are welcomed into the gallery and seated at a shared tea table.

2. Taste three tea blends
You will prepare and taste three loose leaf teas created around different intentions while learning about their properties, uses, and sourcing.

3. Engage the exhibition
Guests will be taken through a framework for experiencing works of art, and then guided in viewing and reflecting on specific works.

4. Choose your favorite
After tasting all three blends, and engaging with the art, guests will choose their favorite and craft a jar of looseleaf tea to take home with them.
