AKA Chambo Takeover

July 19 - September 5

Artist Sean Chambers Transforms The Monastery AZ Into an Immersive Universe of Chaos and Color, Healing and Storytelling.

Phoenix-based artist Sean Chambers, known widely as AKA Chambo, will take over The Monastery AZ with an exhibition unlike anything the Valley has seen. The AKA Chambo Takeover is an all-encompassing showcase of Chambers’ physical and digital worlds—featuring an expansive collection of painting and mixed media works, altered three-dimensional objects, mesmerizing NFT artworks, wearable drops, live painting, workshops, and participatory art experiences.

In his first solo exhibition, Chambers’ turns The Monastery into a living, breathing extension of his creative mind. From paintings on wood, canvas, and metal to animated NFT adaptations that blur the line between the tangible and the virtual, Chambo’s work draws viewers deep into the emotional terrain of trauma, anxiety, and healing.

With a reputation for creating raw, deeply personal work that invites dialogue around mental health, Chambers uses his art to say the things words often can’t. This isn’t just an art show—it’s a sanctuary of shared experience, messy truth, and human connection.

Visitors are invited to meet the artist during live painting sessions every Sunday from 12PM to 3PM, and attend the Opening Reception on Saturday, July 19 from 6PM to 9PM.
